Signing in and getting a verification code

By the end: You're signed in to your Safy account — on the website or in the computer app — with a verification code.

Before you start

The phone you signed up to Safy with, able to receive SMS.
To sign in to the app: Safy installed on your computer. See Installing Safy on your computer.

Safy has no password. You sign in with a one-time code. There are two kinds: a login code sent to you after you sign up on the website, and a 6-digit verification code sent by SMS whenever you request one.

Signing in to the app with your sign-up login code

Open Safy on your computer.
On the "Welcome to Safy AI" screen, click "I Have a Code".
Enter the code you received by WhatsApp or email after signing up (for example ABCD12).
Click "Verify Code".

The login code has 6 letters and digits, is valid for 48 hours, and can be used only once.

Signing in to the app with your phone number

On the "Welcome to Safy AI" screen, click "Verify with Phone Number".
Choose your country code and enter your phone number.
Click "Send Verification Code".
Enter the 6-digit code you received by SMS.
Click "Verify".

If your number is already registered, you'll see "Setup Complete!" and move on to connecting WhatsApp. If it's a new number, you'll be asked to fill in your sign-up details.

Signing in to your account on the website

Go to the "Sign in to your account" page on the Safy website.
Enter your phone number and click "Send verification code".
Enter the code from the SMS and click "Sign in".

The SMS code is valid for 5 minutes. Only the most recent code works — after you resend, an earlier code won't be accepted.

How to know it worked

In the app, the QR screen for linking WhatsApp or the dashboard appears. On the website, you see "Hello" followed by your name.

If it doesn't work

Code didn't arrive? Check that the country code and phone number are correct. After 60 seconds, click "Resend code" — you can do this up to 3 times.
Typed the wrong number? Click "Change phone number" and enter it again.
Seeing "Code expired"? Request a new code and enter it within 5 minutes.
Seeing "Code already used" for your sign-up login code? Click "I don't have a code — verify by phone" and sign in by SMS.
Temporarily locked out? After several wrong codes, sign-in is blocked for 5 minutes. Wait and try again.
The website says "Phone number not found"? That number isn't registered. Sign up first, or try the number you signed up with.
